I built my own gaming PC about 3 weeks ago (1st build ever). I've had zero problems with it until today. I have an Internet connection but can't browse or connect using Steam, Origin or IE. I tried going to the command prompt as admin and running: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt And several other variants I found online. The browser just spins and spins. It never stops but nothing ever comes up.
3D Fish School Screensaver - free swimming fish, freshwater and saltwater tanks, moving bubbles and aquarium backgrounds, free download for Windows 7.
On another note, I didn't install all the various drivers that came with my Asus z87 a motherboard. Should I have installed them?
You can start by testing basic IP connectivity and DNS. Try opening a command prompt and using 'ping www.google.com' If you get 'reply from.' Then maybe check the proxy / connection settings in your browser If you get 'request timed out' messages, then it's a basic IP /DNS issue which should be fairly easy to solve. (I'm sure we can provide more assistance if needed Regarding the drivers, I always use the drivers from the manufacture. Windows will just the default Microsoft drivers (if available) and may not provide all the functionality of your hardware. In fact, you are also better off to download the drivers from the motherboard manufactures website to make sure you have the latest version. Hope This Helps- D.
I tried to ping Google and the request timed out. Based on the comments about, it may be a speed / duplex negotiation issue you can force your adapter to 100/Full: Steps: Control Panel --> Network and Sharing Center --> Change Adapter Settings --> right click the conection and select properties --> select Configure button --> goto Advanced tab --> look for Link Speed and Duplex --> change Auto Negotiate to 100 Mbps Full Duplex. The speed supported depends on the router / switch where you PC is connected. If the internet connection completely stops working, change it back to Auto.
