Every once in a while especially on a sunny day, we take a drive to Burnstown, weaving our way through Pakenham, following the country roads for the best pizza ever. Neat has a lovely wood fired pizza oven and they crank out only the best. The crust is light, puffed up and they offer a choice of interesting toppings.

This place is definitely worth the drive and if you happen to own a motorcycle, these roads are just perfect for a lazy ride. On Saturday we did a day trip to Neat cafe, Burnstown (Renfrew).
The location of the cafe is in an original one room school house in the town. The patio was inviting and clean! It was an absolute delight to enjoy the beautiful garden filled with a wide variety of perennials. We ordered tea and a light lunch of wrap and potato wedges.
The wrap was delicious! Potato wedges were homemade and satisfied my boyfriend's hunger spot. The service was good. An interesting destination point if dining alfresco is on your radar. We have eaten at Neat several times over the last few years. We try to stop there every time we are in the area. I prefer the Pizza which is really good without cheese (personal choice).
My wife likes the sandwiches which are fresh and huge. A takeout box is normally necessary for leftovers. The wine is good and the coffee is the best I have had and I love my coffee. The service ranges from counter service to table service depending on the number of patrons.
Sometimes its busy and you are best to order at the counter and take your drinks and relax. It’s a laid back place. Lots of local art on the walls for sale and in warm weather sitting outside is best.
